The four stages of the Cambridge Pathway give students a clear path for educational success, leading seamlessly from primary to secondary and pre-university years. Each stage combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment, including Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications which are recognised by universities worldwide.

Cambridge Assessment International Education is the world’s largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications for 5 to 19 year olds. Over 10 000 schools in more than 160 countries belong to the Cambridge community.

CAMBRIDGE UPPER SECONDARY

Cambridge Upper Secondary is typically for students aged 14 to 16 years. It inspires students to love learning, helping them discover new abilities and a wider world, offers a wide range of subjects and flexible ways to offer them and provides a springboard to the Cambridge Advanced stage.

Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds, although it can be taken by students of other ages. It now attracts over 800 000 entries every year from 4800 schools in 145 different countries every year. Cambridge IGCSE gives students the flexibility to choose from 70 subjects in any combination. It is tried, tested and trusted – 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the first Cambridge IGCSE exam.

CAMBRIDGE ADVANCED

Cambridge Advanced is typically for students aged 16 to 19 years who need advanced study to prepare for university and higher education. It builds on the foundations of Cambridge Lower Secondary, although students do not need to have completed that stage. The Cambridge Advanced stage of the Cambridge curriculum includes Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications.

Cambridge International AS & A Level develops deep subject knowledge, conceptual understanding and higher order thinking skills. Students develop the skills they need for life and to achieve at school, university and work. It offers an unrivalled choice of over 50 subjects at A Level. Students can choose subjects in any combination so they can specialise or study a range of subjects. Cambridge International AS & A Level is taught in 134 countries, with over 500,000 entries per year – the heritage and breadth of use means there is robust support for schools.
